PROJECT 1:


Guys, do you know any wild animals in Udmurtia?

Which ones have you seen?

Are you ready to explore the wildlife of our birthplace?!


Today we are going to get acquainted with wild animals wchich live in the Udmurt Republic's forests.


Step 1. Watch the video and try to name each animal in English:

Well Done!


Step 2. Divide into 5 groups


Step 3. Each group should consist of :


- one zoologist (a person who selects wild animals, describes them, their habits and instincts);

- one analyst (a person who provides us with statistics:

>How many animals are in Udmurtia's forests?

>What is the most common and the most rare species in Udmurtia?

>What animals are in danger and why?);

- one journalist (a person who is responsible for the text: introduction, the order of paragraphs, conclusion);

- one geographer (a person who shows us the areas on the map (regions/district, forests) where all wild animals live);

- one programmer (a person who selects pictures of animals, creates a presentation or a video - depends on what you want to present in the end).

Step 5. Questions for all the participants of the group:


> What animal is a symbol of the Udmurt Republic? Do you agree or desagree with this fact?

> According to your opinion, what animal is more suitable to be a symbol of Udmurtia?


So, in your project you should answer the following questions:


> How many animals are in Udmurtia's forests?

> What is the most common and the most rare species in Udmurtia?

> What animals are in danger and why?

> What animal is a symbol of the Udmurt Republic? Do you agree or desagree?

> According to your opinion, what animal is more suitable to be a symbol of Udmurtia?

> Don't forget about introduction, conclusion and some other interesting facts you want to tell us.

1) Where do you live?

2) How many rooms are there in your house?

3) Have you got a room?

4) What is there in your room?
